Tikkun Eco Centre - Our Neighbour & Ally
“In response to the growing climate crisis, our mission is to demonstrate, teach and implement systems of ecological restoration, with a focus on solutions to food and water insecurity. We aim to improve regional resilience to drought and water shortage through large scale rainwater harvesting projects, reforestation, intensive polyculture, and groundwater regeneration.” - Tikkun Eco-Centre
Besides the sanctuary & glamping space, we will also be part of the local community projects
Tikkun Eco Centre has been working on several community projects for years! They have restored the local rainwater reservoir which supports local farmers. We are joining forces with them and will restore and reforest at least 20 local rain water reservoirs in villages with hundreds of trees.
If we take care of nature, nature will take care of us
We can only thrive if everything around us thrives...In that way we must make a conscious effort to help nature continue to thrive
Extreme weather events have increased by 3x in the last 50 years and unfortunately those who need the most help are the ones that are most affected by this, their lands and communities are severely affected by drought or/and heavy rains. The permaculture practices employed by Tikun and us can help with issues like these!
